We are building a pool of experienced Software Developers and Software Engineers in Kenya for opportunities with our international clients.
Our clients are looking for professionals with proven experience designing, developing, testing, deploying and maintaining production software. This opportunity is intended for experienced software professionals.
Requirements
Candidates must have:
Minimum 5 years of professional, hands-on software development/engineering experience
Proven experience developing and maintaining production-level software applications
Strong proficiency in at least one programming language relevant to your area of specialization
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and/or other relevant programming paradigms
Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms and software design principles
Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases, including writing and optimizing queries where applicable
Familiarity with AI-assisted software development and modern AI tools
Practical experience developing and consuming APIs, particularly RESTful APIs
Experience with version control systems, especially Git
Practical experience using GitHub, GitLab or similar development platforms
Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and professional development practices
Experience with unit testing, integration testing, debugging and code quality practices
Familiarity with cloud platforms, containers or modern deployment environments is an advantage
Ability to read, understand and work with existing codebases and technical documentation
Ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems and develop effective solutions
Experience collaborating with software engineers, QA engineers, product managers and other technical teams
Strong written and spoken English communication skills

Your GitHub profile should demonstrate your technical capabilities through relevant repositories, projects, contributions, code samples or other evidence of software development work.
