Also consider Lake Superior Provincial Park. It’s right on the lake and has both rugged coastline and inland hiking trails like the Nokomis Trail (incredible lookouts). Plus, you get those stunning sunsets over Lake Superior.
If you’re heading to Northern Ontario, Kettle Lakes Provincial Park near Timmins is a must-visit — beautiful lakes and great hiking trails. Also check out Ivanhoe Lake and Kap-Kig-Iwan Provincial Parks for peaceful scenery and fishing. For hidden gems, Halfway Lake is less crowded but stunning. While in Timmins, support local shops and services through Timmins, ON Local Businesses They’ve got great spots for supplies and eats. I’m planning a trip to Northern Ontario this summer and I’m looking for recommendations on the best campgrounds up there. I’ve heard there are some amazing spots with lakes, hiking trails, and great scenery.
